Bronze Tiles

Our solid cast Bronze tiles are hand made by a local art foundry, then finished in our Studio in two patinas of Verdigris or Antique Brown. Tiles are suitable for both interior and exterior use.

Actual tile size averages one eight inch smaller than the size stated. Art Nouveau and 6" x 6" tile varies in weight between 3 to 5 pounds. 8" x 8" tile varies between 4 to 6 pounds. The approximate size of
1" x 11" x 13" Plaques vary between 7 and 10 pounds. The plaques come ready to hang, and all bronze work is signed and dated.

Cast Stone Plaques

Our Cast Stone plaques are created using original Old World methods. Hand cast without synthetics or resins, and made with natural colored mineral pigments. The most light-fast and durable type of Cast Stone. The amount of natural marbling varies with every plaque.

The Wildlife One series and Botanical series measure the same, they are approximately 1" x 12" x 13", and weigh about four pounds. The Wildlife Two is approximately 1" x 11" x 14", about four pounds.
Our Grand series varies more in weight depending on thickness, it is approximately 1" x 13" x 32" and varies between 10 and 15 pounds.
All Cast Stone plaques are made with a copper loop for hanging, and suitable for interior or exterior use, recommend sheltered for exterior.

Ceramic Tile

All ceramic tile from Lewellen Studio are created using the single-fire method. Whether single or mutiple layered, all tiles are fired to cone five ( 2,185 degrees fahrenheit ). The clay body is usually porcelain or white stoneware, lead free glazes, and only use oxidation firing in both gas and electric kilns. Our primary focus is custom installations, we no longer make individual art tiles. The art tiles offered for sale on our web sites are from current inventory, select custom glazing, and installation art.
